MY STORY
CJMB Studios started with something I’ve always been drawn to: the story behind the moment.
I’m Josh Burns, founder and creative behind CJMB Studios. Long before I built a photography and creative media business, sports were a major part of my life. My background as a coach taught me to see competition differently. I learned to watch what happens beyond the obvious play: the emotion before the whistle, the reaction after a big moment, the relationships on the sideline, and the details that often disappear when the game is over.
Photography gave me a way to preserve those moments.
What started with sports has grown into something much bigger. Today, my work includes sports photography, fine art photography, videography, graphic design, and creative media. One day I might be on a sideline capturing the intensity of a game. Another day I might have my camera pointed toward wildlife, architecture, a landscape, or an ordinary scene that caught my attention. Other days, I’m behind a computer turning photographs, typography, color, and design into something completely new.
Those areas may look different, but my approach to them is the same. I look for action, emotion, details, composition, and story.
CJMB also represents something personal to me. The name comes from initials of my family, connecting the business to my family and to the coaching background that helped shape who I am. The values behind the brand are just as important: Faith • Family • Brotherhood. They influence how I work, how I treat people, and what I want this business to represent.
I’m still learning, creating, and pushing myself into new areas of photography and design. I don't want CJMB Studios to be defined by one type of photograph. I want it to be a place where sports, art, design, video, and storytelling can exist together.
Because whether it happens under stadium lights, on a quiet road, in nature, or on a blank canvas waiting for a design, there is always something worth noticing.
